Rigid Foam Under Metal Roof

I am planning to reroof a house in maryland with standing seam metal.

Rigid foam under metal roof.

Will that be a concern with metal roofing. I know that most roofs have ventilation under them to prevent overheating of the roofing material. Cut each sheet to the desired size using a utility knife then fasten it in place using staples or adhesive. Rigid foam works great and the metal can be installed directly over the top of it.
